Labour Friends of Italy is a Foundation, established on 9 June 2010 and registered in England and Wales. The foundation has offices in London and Rome. To contact us click here. LFIT POLITICAL ANALYSTS
Giovanni Faleg, Director of Research, is Ph.D. at the LSE European Institute. His research focuses on the lessons learned from EU’s operational experience in crisis management and their impact on the reform process of the European Security and Defence Policy. Giovanni graduated from the University of Strasbourg (2008) and spent one year at the Johns Hopkins University in Bologna as the Carlo Maria Santoro Fellow.
Umberto Marengo, Policy Analyst , is a Ph.D at Cambridge University in Politics and International Studies. Originally from Turin, he was fellow of the Collegio Superiore of the University of Bologna where he graduated in International History in 2010. His research interests range from History of International Law to EU Energy Security in the Gulf region. Umberto also worked at the Delegation of the European Union in Washington D.C. and his researches have been founded by various academic institutions and private foundations in Italy and in the UK.
Sohail Nazir, Policy Analyst, is former speaker of the German Youth Council NRW and steering committee member of the UK National Union of Students’ International Students Campaigns Conferences. He is currently a Ph.D candidate in Historical Research focusing on South Asian Studies at King’s College London and National University of Singapore. He is conducting research on the Foreign- Defense- and Security Policy of South Asia since 1947. He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics, Politics and Public Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London and has also been an intercollegiate student in Mandarin at the School of Oriental and African Studies. From 2009-2010 he has been H. Siebert Memorial Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna (Italy)
